5% Normal Serum Blocking Buffer - ml  

5% of a normal animal serum (such as donkey or goat serum)
in 1X phosphate buffered saline - pH 7.4 and 0.1% Triton X-100

Reagents needed:

5
ml normal animal serum (eg. normal goat serum)
0.5
ml 20% Triton X-100
10
ml 10X PBS
ml ddH2O

Directions:

1) Add 10 ml of 10X PBS to 84.5 ml of ddH2O.

2) Add 5 ml of normal animal serum and mix.

3) Add 0.5 ml of 20% Triton X-100 and mix.

4) Filter 5% Normal Serum Blocking Buffer through a 0.45 μm filter.

5) Aliquot and freeze at -20 °C for long-term storage.
